SUMMARY:Care & Share (dementia support groups) - Shrewsbury
DESCRIPTION:Our Care and Share groups offer a warm and welcoming place to socialise\, make new friends and take respite for family carers and family members with mild to moderate dementia. Members are able to relax and mix with other people who have similar experiences of caring for a loved one with dementia or memory loss. Once the group is established we arrange for family carers to have a three-hour respite break\, usually once a month. DESCRIPTION:Our ‘Let’s Talk Falls’ session is a falls prevention event that can be delivered to interested groups free of charge to help reduce the risk of falling for older people.\nThe event includes information on how to reduce the risk of falling – with a demonstration of how to get up from the floor after a fall – plus a free\, taster exercise class\, information on local exercise/fitness classes\, help to find ways to increase your activity levels and more.\nPlaces at scheduled events can be limited and booking is recommended.
