DESCRIPTION:Our Care and Share groups offer a warm and welcoming place to socialise\, make new friends and take respite for family carers and family members with mild to moderate dementia. Members are able to relax and mix with other people who have similar experiences of caring for a loved one with dementia or memory loss. Once the group is established we arrange for family carers to have a three-hour respite break\, usually once a month. SUMMARY:Care & Share (dementia support groups) - Albrighton
DESCRIPTION:Our Care and Share groups offer a warm and welcoming place to socialise\, make new friends and take respite for family carers and family members with mild to moderate dementia. Members are able to relax and mix with other people who have similar experiences of caring for a loved one with dementia or memory loss. Once the group is established we arrange for family carers to have a three-hour respite break\, usually once a month. DESCRIPTION:Your Health & Wellbeing Matters …\nPlease drop in during our launch day to find out more about the services Community Resource can offer\, meet with staff and volunteers and take the opportunity to get involved.\nFind out how to become a Volunteer Buddy and volunteer to support people who may be lacking in confidence\, have low self-esteem\, are isolated and alone or just want some company to get involved in new activities.\nWe’ll be holding a Falls Awareness talk and film presentation which includes practical tips on risk proofing your home\, information on recommended physical activity guidelines for older adults and the importance of staying active along with a practical demonstration of how to get up safely if you should fall.\nThere will be two Falls Awareness sessions held during the day\, the first will begin at 11am followed by a repeat session at 1pm.
