Stroke Awareness
Have you experienced a stroke? Do you know someone or care for someone who is living as a stroke survivor? If you would like to find out more about living after a stroke, or if you would like to understand more about stroke risk factors and how to minimise the risk of future strokes, this workshop is for you.
The workshop includes:
An informative presentation on stroke, that covers measures to minimise the risk of stroke, how to recognise early signs of a stroke, emergency treatment and what to expect after a stroke
A recorded question and answer session with a stroke nurse specialist at Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust
Information on resources which provide support for stroke survivors, carers and loved ones
Free introductory exercise taster session
